Dental Assistant
Salary $28.40 hourly, regular, permanent employment, full time: 30 to 40 hours per week
On site employment at the busy private dental practice There is no option to work remotely, relocation costs covered by employer.
Requirements: education: College certificate or diploma from a program of minimum 1 year in dental assistant program. Experience is an asset, able to work in fast-paced environment, showing manual dexterity, attention to detail, hand-eye co-ordination.
Tasks:
· Prepare patients for dental examinations
· Prepare dental instruments and filling materials
· Maintain and order supplies
· Perform reception and clerical duties
· Schedule and confirm appointments
· Sterilize and maintain instruments and equipment
· Record dental procedures performed on patients
· Educate patients concerning oral hygiene
· Polish teeth and clinical crowns and apply fluoride and sealant
· Take and develop X-rays
· Take preliminary impressions for diagnostic casts
