We are looking for an experienced Financial Funding Manger as our key management team member. Job title: Financial Manager — Funding
Work hours: 30 – 40 hours per week
Salary: $50.00 per hour
Terms of employment: This is a permanent full-time position
Location: Courtenay, BC
Responsibilities:
– Develop appropriate financial funding strategy (200K investor funding for the first year, 500K for the second year and 1 Million every year till 2025)
– Funding campaign budget analyses to help make decisions to ensure company financial goals are achieved.
– Establish relationship with potential investors to determine investment goals and create investment strategies.
– Oversee monthly and quarterly assessments and forecasts of organization’s financial performance against funding target, budget, financial and operational goals.
– Ensure reliable, accurate and timely financial statements draft for contracted CPA and related outputs are prepared to director.
– Ensure that finance, production and sales team’s requests are resolved and communicated in a timely manner to internal and external parties.
– Partner with director and sales team to identify and implement improvements in financial process.
Job requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree or College Diploma in Accounting, Finance or related field is required.
– A minimum of 5 progressive experience as a financial manager is strongly desired.
– Former leadership experience or managerial experience of a team is preferred.
– Ability to translate financial information to various business audiences to inform decision making and reach effective business solutions.
– Strong overall business acumen; although the primary responsibility is finance, this role will help to develop solutions to broader business issues.
